I built WattThe?! to change that.

I started my path in the energy industry from an unusual angle: working inside major financial institutions, underwriting and evaluating commercial loans for clean energy projects. That gave me an early, ground-level view of how energy deals actually get financed and qualified — long before I ever worked on a project directly. From there, I moved into energy origination and business development roles across renewable power, hydrogen storage, and battery storage infrastructure, working directly with utilities, developers, and infrastructure operators on the deals themselves.

That combination — seeing energy projects from the finance side and the development side — is what makes WattThe?! different. I kept running into the same problem: most online calculators are either oversimplified, filled with hidden assumptions, or written for industry insiders. Here, every calculator is built from real-world experience on both sides of the table, every assumption is visible, and every result is explained in plain English.
